Amanda (Hyde) Hooper

Amanda Hooper, age 72 of Carrolton, GA, passed away Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Tanner Hospital in Villa Rica, GA.

          She was a native of Robbinsville, NC and the daughter of the late Monroe Andy Hyde who died in January of 1966 and Shirley Hyde who died in July of 2012.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Hyde in April of 2009.

          She is survived by her husband, Larry Hooper; her children and their spouses, Angie and Jimmy Brooms of Suwanee, GA, Doug and Brandy Hooper of Robbinsville, NC, Lora and David Shelton of Villa Rica, GA; her grandchildren, Mandy Hooper of Denver, NC, Zachary Hooper, and Joshua Hooper both of Robbinsville, NC, Mathew Brooms and Madison Brooms both of Suwanee, GA, Kendra Robinson, Wesley Shelton and Kristen Shelton all of Villa Rica, GA.  She is also survived by her 3 sisters, Eleanor Hyde of Knoxville, TN; Alma Jean Carringer and Bea Smith both of Robbinsville, NC.

          A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, February 24, 2018 at the Townson-Smith Chapel.  The Reverend Daniel Stewart will officiate.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 till 2:00 pm at the Chapel prior to the service.
