Anna Helen (Butler) Smith

Anna H. Smith (nee Butler) 76, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2019. 

Anna, known by her family as Sandy, was born on August 7, 1942 in Annapolis, Maryland to Mary Virginia and Milford Butler.

After a long and dedicated career in customer service, Anna retired to Robbinsville, North Carolina 20 years ago.

Anna is survived by her husband of 40 years, James Frederick Smith, and two daughters, Laura Ann Liccione and Cindy Donlin.  One of Anna’s greatest joys was to be in the company of her five grandchildren.  In her spare time, Anna was heavily engaged in maintaining the community grounds, as well as photographing and interacting with all forms of wildlife.  Anna’s talents included creating beautiful paintings and other artwork; many of which were for the sole purpose of pleasing others.  She was selfless in her commitment to neighbors and anyone in need.

Viewing will be Wednesday, January 9, 2019 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Townson-Smith Funeral Home; 10 Five Point Road in Robbinsville, NC.  The family welcomes visitors at the Cross Creek Community Clubhouse; 687 Cross Creek Trail in Robbinsville following the viewing.
