Dannie Duane Buchanan

Dannie Duane Buchanan, age 82 of Robbinsville, NC went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, may 9, 2019 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in  Gainesville, GA.

          He was a native of Graham County and the son of the late Wayne and Alma Stewart Buchanan.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Lesa Buchanan; step daughter, Fredia Hedrick Henderson; grandson, Stewart Buchanan; brother, Dewey Buchanan; and sisters, Ramona Garver and Wanda Buchanan.

          He is survived by his wife, Lou Gladden Buchanan; his children Terry Buchanan (SueAnn) of Gainesville, GA, Geoff Buchanan of Robbinsville, NC, Trevor Buchanan (Charla) of Robbinsville, NC, Trina Buchanan of Robbinsville, NC, Ginger Hubbard (Dex) of Murphy, NC; grandchildren Brandon Buchanan, Trint Buchanan, Chevron Buchanan, Harlee Cheshire, Hanna Grogan, Lisa Buchanan, Samantha Buchanan, Charlton Buchanan, Cristina Ledwell, Blaine Adams, Dex Hubbard Jr., Ali Amos, JR Jewell, Jade Millsaps, Ethan Henderson, Sybill Gladden, Paisley Carter, and Cassie Lynn; Great Grandchildren, Taylor Oquendo, Dayne Buchanan, Gus Buchanan, Brock Buchanan, Dayleigh Buchanan, Zander Buchanan, Kayzleigh Buchanan, Kash Buchanan, Addie Buchanan, Khaygen Buchanan, Abel Buchanan, Novi Dutcher, David Gray and Legend Patterson, Ella and Emarie Jewell, Brooklyn and Bri Anthony.

          Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, May 11, 2019 at the Townson-Smith Chapel.  The Reverend Noah Crowe will officiate.  Burial will follow the service at the Carver Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 till 2:00 pm Saturday at the Chapel prior to the service.  Pallbearers will be Terry Buchanan, Geoff Buchanan, Trevor Buchanan, David Millsaps, JR Jewell, and Eddie Anderson.  Honorary Pallbearers are Doyle Brock, Walter Hooper, Burlin Gladden, Ronald Patterson, and Kayce Brock.
