Edna Sue Hooper

Edna Sue Hooper, 77, of Andrews, NC, formerly of Robbinsville, NC, went home to be with the Lord on February 9, 2018 at Valley View Care and Rehabilitation in Andrews, NC.

          A native of Graham County, she was the daughter of the late Jason Newton and Winnie Collins Hooper.

          She is survived by her children, Elaine Carey of Robbinsville, NC, Janet Hill of Newnan, GA, Lynn Waldroup of Robbinsville, NC, Robert Cape of Robbinsville, NC, and Kayla McGaha of Hendersonville, NC; her longtime companion, Johnny Nichols of Andrews, NC; her sister, Janette Cable of Robbinsville, NC; her brother, Harold Hooper of Cape Coral, FL.  Edna has nine grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

          The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Townson-Smith Chapel.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Mt Nebo Baptist Church, where she will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service.  The Reverend Harold Hooper will officiate.  Committal services will follow at Carver Cemetery.
