Edna Collins Howell, 90, of the Lower Mountain Creek Community in Robbinsville, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at her residence.
A native and lifelong reisdent of Graham County, she was a member of Robbinsville First Baptist Church. Edna will be remembered as a devoted Christian, Mother and Grandmother. She was the daughter of the late Ed and Bessie Crisp Collins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Howell; her brothers, Lewis Collins, William Collins, Edward Collins, Jerry Collins; and her sisters, Mary Roach, Betty Sue Hill, and Ella Mae Holder.
She is survived by her sons and daughters in law, Eddie and Marsha Howell, Joey and Lib Howell, Charles and Debra Howell, and Johnny and Brenda Howell, all of Robbinsville, NC; her sister, Jo Doris Shuler of Robbinsville, NC; her brothers, Clyde Collins of Murphy, NC, Earl Max Collins of Robbinsville, NC, and Claude Collins of Atlanta, GA. She has 8 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Funeral services were be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, April 13, 2019 at the Townson-Smith Chapel. Reverends Daniel Stewart and Jack Millsaps will officiate. Burial followed at Old Mother Cemetery. The family received friends from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at the Chapel, prior to the services.
