Everett Lamar Williams, Sr, 82, of the Cochrans Creek Community in Robbinsville, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Asheville, NC.
A native of Graham County, he was the son of the late Ira and Vencie Williams.
Everett was a Veteran having served his country proudly in the US Army. He retired from ALCOA after 30 years of service and also operated Williams Trout Farm. His family will remember him as a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Lorene Farr Williams; his son, Everett Lamar Williams, Jr, of Robbinsville, NC; his daughter and son in law, Pam and Chuck Jenkins of Robbinsville, NC; his brother, Richard Williams of Maryville, TN; and his sister, Etta Faye Williams of Robbinsville, NC. He has 3 grandchildren, Christopher Williams, Savanna Gladden, and Dusty Williams and his wife, Megan, and 2 great grandchildren, Lexie and Kenzie Williams.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, April 12, 2019 at the Townson-Smith Chapel. The Reverends Max Turpin and Morris Rogers will officiate. Burial will follow at Santeetlah Cemetery where Military Rites will be conducted by the NC National Guard Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 pm Friday at the Chapel, prior to the service.
