Gary Allen Babbs

Gary A. Babbs, 71, of the Stecoah Community near Robbinsville, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Blount Memorial Hospital in Maryville, TN, after a brief illness.

He was the son of the late Gilbert A. and Maxine Kensinger Babbs.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Jill Sanders.

He is survived by his son and daughter in law, Garrett and Kristen Babbs of Plant City, FL; his grandchildren, Sydney and Gwen Babbs of Plant City, FL; and his sister, Kathy L Genton of Fort Myers, FL.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 pm Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at the Townson-Smith Chapel.  The Reverend Daniel Stewart will officiate.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 pm at the Chapel, prior to the service.  Committal services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Carver Cemetery.
