Hugh Darrell Williams

Hugh Darrell Williams, age 83 of the Franks Creek Community of Robbinsville, passed away, Thursday, November 28, 2019 at Harris Regional Hospital in Sylva, NC.

          He was a native of Graham County and the son of the late Edward and Bessie Grindstaff Williams.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Keith “Spike” Orr; his brothers, Edward Williams Jr., Harold Williams; and his sister, Eloise Anderson.

          He is survived by his wife, Ramona Colvard Williams; son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Donna Mayberry Williams; daughter, Angela Williams Orr all of Robbinsville, NC; grandchildren and their wives, Christopher and Julie Orr, Cody and Madison Orr both of Robbinsville, NC and 4 great grandchildren, Cheslyn, Ian, Autumn, and Brycleigh.

          Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, December 1, 2019 at the Townson-Smith Chapel.  The Reverends G.D. Phillips and Max Turpin will officiate.  Burial will follow the service at Bear Creek Baptist Church Cemetery where Military Rites and Flag Presentation will be conducted by the North Carolina National Guard Honor Guard.

          The family will receive friends from 1:00 till 2:00 pm Sunday at the Chapel prior to the service.
