James Allen Fugate, Jr

James Allen Fugate, Jr, 43, of Almond, NC passed away on October 26, 2018 at his residence.

James was a loving dad to his children, each of whom made him happy and proud in their own distinct ways.  He was a devoted husband who excelled every day at showing his love and not just speaking it.  He worked hard, but he always took time for what mattered:  his family, his friends, and growing in his faith.

He was born in Lake County, IN, and was the son of Vicki Graham of Gary, IN, and the late James Alan Fugate, Sr.

He is survived by his loving wife, Amanda Williams Fugate; his daughters, Kelly Ann Fugate of Robbinsville, NC, and Christin Marie Fugate and her husband, J.D. Davis of Fort Polk, LA; his sons, James Andrew Kirl and Alexander James Fugate, both of Robbinsville, NC; his sisters, Wendy Eriks of Valpariso, IN, Tina Clark of Crown Point, IN, and Lacey Swick, Courtney Fugate, and Christie Swick, all of Gary, IN.

Memorial services will be held at 6:00 pm Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Robbinsville, First Baptist Church.  Reverend Noah Crowe will officiate.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 6:00pm Thursday at the Church, prior to the service.
