James W. Hall Sr.

James W. Hall Sr. age 66 of the Sweetwater Community of Robbinsville, NC passed away, Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Harris Regional Hospital in Sylva, NC.

          He was a native of Graham County and the son of Anna Mae Anderson Hall and the late Cornelius Hall.  James was a Veteran of the United States Navy having served during the Vietnam War.

          In addition to his mother he is survived by is wife, Nelly Gumba Hall; his children and their spouses; James Jr. and Tiffani Hall of Andrews, NC, Alvin and Tabitha Hall of Robbinsville, NC, Evelyn and Kenny Waldroup of Zebulon, NC, Cindy and Dwayne Cable of Robbinsville, NC; brothers, David Hall, Scott Hall both of Robbinsville, NC; sisters, Rosetta Hamilton, Margaret Hall both of Robbinsville, NC and Velda Moose of Gastonia, NC.  He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, Cane Cable and his wife, Katelyn, Dequina Cable, Baylee Hall, Landyn Hall, Dayton Hall, Patience Smith, Bentley Hall, Kristin Waldroup and Kylie Waldroup.

          Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 pm Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at the Townson-Smith Chapel.  The Reverends Coy Adams and Jesse Crisp will officiate.  The Family will receive friends from 5:00 till 7:00 pm Tuesday at the Chapel prior to the services.

          Committal Services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday May 8, 2019 at the Old Mother Cemetery where Military Rites and Flag Presentation will be conducted by the US Navy Honor Guard, the Carringer Webster VFW Post #8635 and the Eller Rogers American Legion Post #192.
