James "Eddie" Edward Jenkins

James Edward Jenkins who was also known as “Pedro”, “Pete”, or, simply,  Eddie, age 57 of Stecoah, NC, formerly of Spruce Pine, NC, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 6, 2019 at his residence.

          A native of Mitchell County, he was the son of the late William Edward “Bill” and Lucille Jenkins.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his faithful companion, his dog, Blue.

          Eddie was a diehard North Carolina Tarheels basketball fan and loved watching the Atlanta Braves play baseball.

          He is survived by his sister, Debra Miller of Spruce Pine, NC, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

          The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 pm Sunday, March 10, 2019 at the Townson-Smith Chapel.  Graveside services will follow at Holder Cemetery in Stecoah.  Reverend Jessie Crisp will officiate.
