Janice (Hyde) Stewart

Janice Hyde Stewart, 73, of Robbinsville, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at Harris Regional Hospital in Sylva, NC.

She was the daughter of the late Raymond E. and Ella Jean Martin Hyde.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Anthony Stewart; her granddaughter, Ashley Stewart; and her sisters, Wanda Hyde Wilson, Sharon Hyde, and Crystal Hyde.

She is survived by her daughters and sons in law, Sandra and Robert Anderson of Robbinsville, NC, Tracy and Carlton Guffey of Snowshoe, WV, Tara and Reed Cody of Stecoah, and Leah Stewart of Robbinsville, NC; her sons and daughters in law, Ryan and Susan Stewart and Eric and Sarah Stewart, all of Robbinsville, NC; and her brother, Hugh Hyde of Robbinsville, NC.  Her grandchildren are Cale and Analasah Anderson, Erica and Jason Sawyer, Preston and Anna Stewart, Dillon Stewart, Jonathon Stewart, Payne Anderson, Jake Stewart, Alyssa and Cain Ammons, Austin and Abbey Ball, Zeke Odom, Brady Odom, and Anthony Odom.  She has four great grandchildren, Deacon, Olivia, Peyton, and Emmett.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Cedar Cliff Baptist Church.  Reverend Daniel Stewart will officiate.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 pm Thursday at the Church, prior to the service.  Committal services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, December 28, 2018 at Carver Cemetery.
