Kim Russell Buttram

Kim Russell Buttram, age 62, of Beckley, WV, passed away at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley on Saturday, March 17, 2018.

Born on November 10, 1955, in Greenville, SC, he was the son of Barbara Emery Buttram of Greenville, SC, and the late Jack Emerson Buttram. 

Kim was the former Director of Alpine Adventures through Appalachian Bible College. He was a former Pastor at Meadow Bridge Missionary Baptist Church and last pastored Providence Bible Church in Beckley. Kim had also worked in various children's homes with his wife, Linda Gail Buttram. 

Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 39 years, Linda Gail Stiles Buttram; his children; Josh Buttram and wife, Carolyn, of Eden Prairie, Minnesota, Jodi Buttram of Beckley, Jessi Smith and husband, Josiah, of Beaver, Jack Buttam and wife, Sarah, of Longview, Texas, Anthony Perkins of Beckley, Alyssa Buttram of Beckley, and Ann Buttram of Beckley; two brothers; Kerry Buttram and wife, Cynthia, of Cairo, Egypt, and Kevin Buttram and wife, Janice, of Dhaka, Bangladesh; two sisters, Kristana Harding and husband, Bob, of Spartanburg, SC, and Kyle Buttram of Morganton, NC; eleven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews also survive. 

A memorial service to Celebrate the Life of Kim Buttram will be held at 1 PM Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Daniels Bible Church, with various family members officiating.

 A service will also be held at 2:00 PM Monday, March 26, 2018 at the Townson-Smith Chapel in Robbinsville, NC.  Burial will follow the service at the Old Mother Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 till 2:00 PM Monday at the Chapel prior to the service.
