Noyl Odom Obituary

Noyl Paul Odom, age 79 passed way at his home in Nokomis, Florida March 7, 2019.

He was a wonderful father and pop-pop! His children, Tanya & Adam Waxler and Smokey & Kelly Odom will miss him very much. He had 7 grandchildren, Megan, Kaylyn, Jimmy & Jillian Finnerty, Levi Waxler, Rider & Ozzy Odom.  He recently had his first great grand baby Heidi Jo.

He was a US Army veteran, and a business owner of Odom Equipment Rental in Md for many years.  He was a published author of “Happy as a hog wallowing in shit”, an historical autobiography copy righted with the US Library of Congress.

In his younger years he loved to snow ski, water ski, travel in the RV, visit the islands, take cruises, hit every casino and horse track.  In his later years he loved to play Texas hold’em, watch football, watch Nascar, watch game shows and eat at the Cracker Barrell.

He was a native of Graham County and the son of the late Jack & Ada Phillips Odom.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Marie Finnerty, his family members, Odema Odom, Bonnie Orr, Laura Odom, Phillip Odom, Rick Jordan and Rex R. Orr.  He is survived by his siblings Mildred Jordan, Shirley Sherrill, Deloris Odom and Coy Odom.  All residents of Robbinsville, Nc.

The funeral will be at Lone Oak Church, June 14th, at 3:00 pm.
