Opal Lillian (Hice) Moose

Opal Hice Moose age 86 of the Atoah community of Robbinsville, NC passed away, Friday, October 19, 2018 at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN.

          She was a native of Graham county and the daughter of the late Brutus A. and Iva Lee Stiles Hice.

          She is survived by her long time companion, Lamar Brooks; Daughter and her husband, Diane and Nolan Adams of Robbinsville, NC; sons and their wives, Tony and Shelly Grindstaff of Robbinsville, NC, Mickey and Angie Grindstaff of Andrews, NC, Eddie and Mildred Moose of Robbinsville, NC; sisters, Vivian Gillespie, and Linda Hice both of Gastonia, NC.  She has 12 grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren, and 3 Great Great Grandchildren.

          Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, October 21, 2018 at the Townson-Smith Chapel.  The Reverend Dana Dockery will officiate.  Burial will follow the service at the Old Mother Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 till 3:00 pm at the Chapel prior to the service.
