Patricia Ann (Stratton) Owens

Patricia Ann Stratton Owens, 60, of Robbinsville, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at her residence.

She was the daughter of Mary Jo Palmer Stratton of Greenville, SC, and the late Henry Stratton.  In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Barry Owens, and her brother, Steve Stratton.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her daughter, Emmlie Owens of Wilmington, NC; her sons, Douglas Underwood, Taylor Owens, and Hayden Owens, all of Robbinsville, NC; her brother, Mike Stratton of Greenville, SC; her sister, Debi Rochelle of Clayton, NC; and her best friend, Deanna McCartney of Robbinsville, NC.  She has 3 grandchildren, Zeb, Matthew, and Zilah Underwood.

Patricia was always known as “Tris” or “Trish” to her family and friends.  She was always ready to have fun and was known to liven up a gathering.  Because of this, little kids naturally loved her.  As a mother to her own four children, Tris had a generous heart and gave them all she had.  The most predictable thing about Tris was her unpredictability.  Life with her was never boring.  And when trouble or adversity came her way, she was a strong, resourceful survivor who always found a way to face problems and cope.  During her life, Tris was a force to be reckoned with.  Her unexpected passing leaves a void in the family that no one else could possibly fill, and the grief will be enduring.

Memorial services will be held at 4:00 pm Friday, October 26, 2018 at Calvary Baptist Church where she attended locally.  Her brother, Reverend Mike Stratton and Reverend David Anderson will officiate.  Private burial will follow at a later date at Lone Oak Baptist Church Cemetery.
