Pauline (Beasley) Solesbee

          Pauline Beasley Solesbee, age 84 went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at Erlanger Western Carolina Hospital in Murphy, NC.            

          She was a native of Graham County and the daughter of the late Hardy Beasley and Lydia Hollifield Beasley Panter.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Solesbee in April of 2007; her sister, Maebelle Beasley; and her brother, Richard Beasley.

          Pauline had a gentle spirit and always had a genuine and kind smile for everyone she met.  She was a loving Mother, Grandmother and friend, and she loved spending time with her family whom she was very proud of.  She will be missed by her family and friends, but her kind and compassionate nature will forever be remembered.

          Pauline was also an avid gardener and loved tending to her beautiful flower beds until her failing health.

          She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Karen Solesbee of Whitesburg, GA, Darrell and Deborah Solesbee of Kissimmee, FL, Tim and Barbara Solesbee of Oviedo, FL; Daughter and son-in-law, Patty and Teddy Orr of Robbinsville, NC; sisters, Dorothy Beasley of Murphy, NC and Pearl Williams of Robbinsville, NC.  She has 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

          Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, May 4, 2019 at the Townson-Smith Chapel.  The Reverends Harold Beasley and Sam Phillips will officiate.  Burial will follow the service at Lower Yellow Creek Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 am till 1:00 pm Saturday at the Chapel prior to the service.  At all other times the family will be receiving friends at Pauline's granddaughter's house at 445 Valleyview Drive off of Old Sweetwater Road in Robbinsville, NC.
