Roy Nathan Rogers

         Roy Nathan Rogers, 70, of Robbinsville, NC, passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at Mountain View Manor Nursing Home in Bryson City, NC.

          A native of Graham County, he was the son of the late Robert Howard and Clara Orr Rogers.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David Rogers.

          Roy was a Veteran of the US Marine Corps having served his country proudly during the Vietnam War.

          He is survived by his sons, Allen Rogers of Bryson City, NC and Tommy Rogers of Robbinsville, NC; his sister, Anita Seay of Robbinsville, NC; and his brothers, Bobby Rogers of Beaver Dam, KY, Cecil Rogers of Robbinsville, NC, Tommy Rogers of Center, AL, Jerry Rogers and Ronnie Rogers, both of Robbinsville, NC, and Mark Rogers of Atlanta, GA.  He has nine grandchildren, Coy, Dawson, Steven, Julia, Nahala, Nevaeh, Trakker, Zoyee and Zaylee.

          The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at the Townson-Smith Chapel.  Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm Tuesday at Townson-Smith Chapel.  The Reverends Tom Buchanan and Mike Teem will officiate.  Committal services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at the Old Mother Cemetery where Military Rites will be conducted.
