Timothy "Kornbread" Gene Cornwell

Timothy Gene “Kornbread” Cornwell, age 48 passed away, Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, TN.

          He was a native of Graham County and the son of Ann Fann Kraushaar and the late Gene Cornwell.

          Timothy grew up in Murphy, NC and after graduating High School he served in the US Navy.  He returned to his native home of Robbinsville several years ago.

          Timothy was also an avid Motorcyclist; he enjoyed riding US 129 (The Tail of the Dragon) with his friends, and he loved spending time with his family.  He was also a member of Lone Oak Baptist Church.

          In addition to his Mother, he is survived by his son, Stephen Kent of Marble, NC; Sisters, Tina Lee of Robbinsville, NC, Kim Green of Brasstown, NC; Angie Cornwell Bates of Murphy, NC; brother, Darrin Cornwell of Murphy, NC; and nieces and nephews, Shelby and Daniel Millsaps, Becca and Robert Phillips, Brandon Lee, Jr. Cook, Kristina Cornwell, Dylan Cornwell, Caitlyn and Alyia McGaha.

          Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, October 7, 2018 at the Townson-Smith Chapel.  The Reverend Lance Burke will officiate.  Burial will follow at the Farley Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 till 2:00 pm Sunday at the Chapel prior to the service.
