Alma Geanette (Postell) Cagle

Alma Genette Postell Cagle went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on April 6, 2025, at the age of 81. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully.

          She was preceded in death by her parent’s, Reba and Pate Postell; husband Fred Cagle, sister’s; Doris Galloway, Novella Whaley, and Wilma Cartee, brother’s; James Postell, Johnny Postell, Michael Postell, and Billy Postell, grandson; Joseph Presto

She was born on March 25, 1944, in Gastonia, North Carolina. She dedicated her life to raising her family. She was known for her warmth and kindness toward others. She was a fun person to be around and always had a knack for making you laugh. She loved her family but she also enjoyed helping others, going to yard sales, reading her bible, sharing her faith in Jesus Christ, and attending tent meetings. She was a true woman of God, and her children were blessed to have her as their mother.

Alma is survived by her daughter’s: Angela Goble (Greg Goble) of Gastonia, NC, Sabrena Rick, Shelia Hedrick, Tabitha Hall (Alvin Hall), and April Spurling, all from Robbinsville, NC and her stepson Ben Cagle of Belmont, NC. Her grandchildren: Christina Presto, LaShaun Lambert, Christopher Rick, Samantha Hedrick, Patience Laws, Kade Spurling, Kylie Spurling, Bentley Hall, 10 great-grandchildren, and many other nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held at the Townson Smith Funeral Home located at 160 Five Point Road in Robbinsville, NC on Saturday, May 3 at 2:00 pm. Visitation is scheduled from 1:00 – 2:00 pm before the service. Food can be brought to 115 Moose Branch Rd, Robbinsville, NC where friends and family will be gathering after the service.
