Alta (Waldroup) Pitcox

Alta Waldroup Pitcox, 83 of the Snowbird Community of Robbinsville, passed away, Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at Graham Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

          She was a Native of Graham County and the daughter of the late Troy and Netter Stewart Waldroup. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dave Pitcox.

          She is survived by her daughter, Debra Robinson, son, Chris Pitcox both of Robbinsville, NC, sisters, Cora Clark of Hayesville, NC, Nellie Cunningham of Annapolis, MD, stepchildren, Lee, David, John, Debbie, Toni, and Sharon. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Chelsea Clark, Jacob Pitcox, Chase and Maddison Robinson, Rhonda Garrett, Erin Hyde, and 14 great grandchildren.

          Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 pm Monday, July 11, 2022, at the Townson-Smith Chapel. The Reverends Daniel Stewart will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5:00 till 7:00 pm Monday at the Chapel prior to the service.

          Committal Service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at the Carver Cemetery.
