Austin J. Wyman

          Austin J. Wyman, 98, of Robbinsville, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 10, 2019 at Graham Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center.   

          He was the son of the late Earl and Myrtle Selsor Wyman.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Mary Leone Hyde Wyman in 2018; son, Michael Wyman; his brother Jack Wyman and his sister Jean Spiering.

          Austin is survived by his daughters and sons in law, Velda and Jim McGuire of Robbinsville, NC, Kay Orr of Palm Coast, FL, Vickie and Roger Evans of Vanceburg, KY, Diana and Jimmy Ponder of Branson, MO, Marilyn and Bill Wolfram of Robbinsville, NC, and Elaine Wyman of Hayesville, NC; and his sons and daughters in law; Freddie and Wanda Brooms of Robbinsville, NC, Eddie and Sandy Brooms of Andrews, NC, and Jack and Shirley Brooms of Robbinsville, NC.  He has numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren.

          Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, November 14, 2019 at the Townson-Smith Chapel.  The Reverend Burlen Aldridge will officiate.  Masonic Rites will be conferred by Robbinsville Lodge No. 672. Burial will follow at the Lone Oak Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 pm Thursday in the Chapel prior to the service. 

          In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Baptist Childrens Home 111 Sneed Drive Clyde, NC 28721 or Shriners Hospitals for Children 2900 N. Rocky Point Drive Tampa, FL 33607.
