Beacher Turpin, 89 of Fontana dam, NC went home to be with the Lord on April 29, 2026.
Beacher was a native of Graham County and was born and raised on Yellow Creek to the late Frank and Doshia Anderson Turpin. Beacher was the last of his siblings; his sisters, Jean Orr, Joan Burchfield, Elva Carver, Lillian Porter, Telma Bowman, Chyneer Burchfield, Ethel and Dora Lee Turpin; brothers, Wayne, Glenn, Leonard, Luther, Nolan preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Farrah Dillard.
He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Eva Nell Beasley Turpin; son, Michael Turpin (Wilma); daughter, Sandra Williams (Elder, Onley) of Upper Tuskeegee, NC; grandchildren, Elizabeth Marcus (Zack) of Franklin, NC, Rebecca Powell (Charles), Tim Williams of Robbinsville, NC, Dakota Kelly (Randall) of Jefferson City, TN; great grandchildren, Kenlyn and Lawrence Powell of Robbinsville, NC and his extended family from over the hill, Joe, Martha, and Tim Green.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm Saturday, May 2, 2026, at the Townson-Smith Chapel. Reverends Onley Williams and Coy Adams will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00 till 7:00 pm Saturday at the Chapel prior to the service.
Committal Services will be held at 11:00 am Sunday, May 3, 2026, at Welch Cove Cemetery.
