Bessie Leona Waldroup

Bessie Leona Waldroup, 82 of Hares Creek Community of Robbinsville, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at her residence.

She is a native of Graham County and the daughter of the late Wayne and Belle Anderson Waldroup.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers Ronald Waldroup, Randall Waldroup, Donald Anderson, Richard Anderson, Junior Waldroup and Monroe Waldroup; and sister Mabel Kimbell.

Bessie is survived by her loving daughter, April Waldroup; brother Arnold Waldroup (Faye) of Robbinsville, NC; her sister Patty Sue Baily of Kings Mountain, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bessie will be greatly missed, but the family takes comfort knowing that she is now pain free.  Special thanks to Martha Carpenter for her help the last two months and to her daughter, Shannon Eller, for all her help during this process.  

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, July 20, 2025, at the Robbinsville United Methodist Church.
