Betty Jean (Stewart) Carver

          Betty Jean Stewart Carver, 73, of Robbinsville, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Harris Regional Hospital in Sylva, NC.

          A native of Graham County, she was the daughter of Dollie Scroggs Stewart of Blairsville, GA, and the late Arvil Stewart.  In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Carver, and her daughter, Tina Carver Waldroup.

          She is survived by her son, Don Carver, and her grandson, Walker Waldroup, both of Robbinsville, NC; her sister, Kathy Evans of Peachtree, NC; and her brothers, William Stewart of Hayesville, NC, Clarence Stewart of Blairsville, GA, Jerry Stewart of Dalton, GA, Leroy Stewart of Andrews, NC, and Randall Stewart of Peachtree, NC.

          Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, October 5, 2018 at the Townson-Smith Chapel.  The Reverend Daniel Stewart will officiate.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 pm Friday at the Chapel, prior to the service.  Burial will follow at Lone Oak Baptist Church Cemetery.
