Bruce Warren Brooks, 71 of the Hares Creek Community of Robbinsville, NC passed away, Sunday, January 1, 2023, at his residence.
He was a native of Graham County and the son of the late Clyde and Ruth Crisp Brooks.
Bruce was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was a kind, humble man - an inspiration to his children and grandchildren. His family knew him as truly one of the strongest and most stoic men to ever walk the planet. Their loss is Heaven's gain!
He was known to his family and friends as one of the hardest working men, having retired several times over. He was a talented woodcarver. One of the most prized possessions that his grandchildren have is a hand-carved plaque of each of their names. He could fix pretty much anything, and his family could always depend on his skills with various household and vehicle-related projects, knowing that they would be done with high skill.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Carpenter Brooks, children and their spouses, Michael and Debbie Brooks, Jason Brooks, Travis and Frances Brooks, Caitlin Brooks, Simon Brooks, and Warren Brooks all of Robbinsville, NC; and 4 grandchildren, Madison, Shaylei, Phoenix, and Hunter. He will be missed by his faithful canine companion, Stimpy, also.
Plans for a Memorial Service will be announced later.
Townson-Smith Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Brooks Family. An online register is available at www.townson-smithfuneralhome.com.
