Charles Andrew Carey, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness and generosity.
He is survived by his loving wife Rachel Carey and their daughters, Melissa Francois and Crystal Carey. His impact lives on through his granddaughters, Kahlan Hilliard Blakey, Ashlyne Hilliard, Lillian Hilliard, Cheyenne Francois, as well as his great grandchildren, Maximus Wade Blakey, and Gwynevere Yvonne Blakey. He is also survived by his son-in-law, Robert Francois and grandson-in-law, Daiton Blakey; siblings Mary Orr, Carolyne Shope, Jan Holder, Dennis Carey and their spouses, Mac Orr, Darrell Shope and Elaine Carey.
A man of many talents, Charles was a skilled welder, electrician, plumber, farmer and outdoorsman. He shared his passion for gardening, hunting and fishing with his family. He was a dedicated educator, inspiring countless students through his teaching of welding.
Charley Carey’s family remember him as their rock, a shining example of strength, kindness and generosity. He left this world on December 7, 2025, doing what brought him joy, surrounded by nature near his home.
