Charles Edgar "Sonny Boy" McMonigle Jr.

Charles Edgar "Sonny Boy" McMonigle Jr., 91 formerly of Maryland passed away, Thursday, November 10, 2022, in Punta Gorda, FL.

          A native of Graham County, he was the son of the late Charles Edgar McMonigle Sr. and Bessie Hill McMonigle.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Dennis McMonigle; brothers, Max McMonigle, Rex McMonigle, Eugene McMonigle, Gary McMonigle; sisters, Betty Lou Deyton, Bertha Jo Walker, and Mattie Belle Goodwin.

          He is survived by his wife, Shirley Owen McMonigle; son, Randall McMonigle of Cockeysville, MD; daughter, Debra Hnat of Punta Gorda, FL; brother, Dee McMonigle of Newnan, GA; 9 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren.

          Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, November 19, 2022, at the Townson-Smith Chapel.  The Reverends Shane McMonigle and Scott Roper will officiate.  Burial will follow the service at Lone Oak Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 till 2:00 pm at the Chapel prior to the service.
