Charlona (Styles) Carpenter

Charlona Carpenter, 71 of the Hares Creek Community of Robbinsville, NC passed away, Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Elizabeth House Hospice Center in Flat Rock, NC.

          She was a native of Graham County and the daughter of the late Henry and Thelma Lail Styles.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Betty Styles.

          She is survived by her husband of 55 years, David Carpenter; children and their spouses, Dwayne and Petra Carpenter, Amy and Randy Rogers all of Robbinsville, NC; sister and brother-in-law, Wanda and Avery Carpenter of Robbinsville, NC; and brothers and sister-in-law, Sammie Styles and Hubert and Revonda Styles both of Robbinsville, NC.  She is also survived by her grandchildren, Tyler Broome, Layne Carpenter, Morlee Carpenter, Payton and Mallie Rogers, Macy and Matthew Garland, 1 great grandchild, Osie Rogers and several nieces and nephews.

          Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 pm Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at the Townson-Smith Chapel.   Reverend Eric Sellers will officiate.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 till 7:00 pm Wednesday at the Chapel prior to the service.

          Committal Services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, September 12, 2024, at the Old Mother Cemetery.
