Claudene (Scroggs) Cody

     Claudene Cody, 86 of Robbinsville, NC passed away, Monday, November 13, 2023, at Graham Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

     She was a native of Graham County and the daughter of the late Vanis and Edna Jones Scroggs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herve Cody in October of 2018 and her brother, Richard Stewart.

     She is survived by her sons and daughter in law, Dirk Cody, David and Crystal Cody; daughters and son in law, Donna Cody, Dana and Jack Adams all of Robbinsville, NC; brother, Tony Scroggs of Augusta, GA; grandchildren and their spouses, Amber Cody Davis and Ben, Dustin Cody, Macey Adams Ayers and Jaron, Brady and Kelsey Cody, CJ Cody Burchfield and Greg, Will Adams and Phoebe Birchfield, Brianna Jumper Pruitt and Cyle all of Robbinsville, NC; and 6 great grandchildren with 2 on the way.

     Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, November 16, 2023, at Sweetwater Baptist Church. The Reverend Daniel Stewart will officiate. Burial will follow the service at the Old Mother Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dustin Cody, Will Adams, Brady Cody, Jaron Ayers, Cyle Pruitt, Ben Davis, Greg Burchfield, and Charlie Millsaps. The family will receive friends from 1:00 till 2:00 pm at the Church prior to the service.
