Colleen (Orr) Cappuccio Mullinax

Colleen Cappuccio Mullinax, 69, of the Tallulah Community of Robbinsville, NC passed away on Friday, December 22, 2023 at Harris Regional Hospital in Sylva, NC. A native of Graham County, she was the daughter of Buddy Joe and Betty Jean Orr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Lori Cappuccio; son Dean Cappuccio; sisters Carmine Ann Miller and Gail Sherrill; and brothers Olin Orr and Mickey Rogers. 

She is survived by her husband David Mullinax; sons Anthony Cappuccio of Hilton Head SC and Paul Cappuccio of Hammonton NJ; sisters Carla Orr of Robbinsville, NC; Sherry Orr of Newtonville NJ and Cynthia Christopher of Hammonton NJ; grandchildren Caroline Lamb; Helen, Anna and Victoria Cappuccio; and one great-grandchild, Ellis Lamb. 

Colleen loved her children, family and friends with a soft spoken warmth and kindness. She had a heartfelt love and concern for all her relatives and friends, and was sympathetic towards them. She always remained quiet and pleasant and responded to their needs, often placing them before herself.  

She enjoyed going to the casino and being with her family. She liked being at home and spending time in her yard. When she could not visit family members who lived far away she made sure to stay in contact with them using the phone. She always knew how her loved ones were doing and would offer encouraging advise to improve the quality of their lives. She was always kind and thoughtful, and brightened the lives of everyone she knew and met. Colleen will be missed by all.  

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 pm Friday, December 29, 2023 at Lone Oak Baptist Church Cemetery. The Reverends Daniel Stewart and Rance Shuler will officiate.
