Cora Waldroup Larson Clark, 79, of Hayesville, NC formerly of the Snowbird Community of Robbinsville, passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 2, 2023, of complications of severe COPD and Lewy Body Dementia at the Clay County Care Center. Her husband, Basil B. Clark and her dog Buddy were by her side.
She was a native of Graham County and the daughter of the late Troy and Netter Stewart Waldroup. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Phillip Waldroup, and two sisters, Mildred “Mid” Smith and Alta Pitcox.
She is survived by her husband, Basil B. Clark of Hayesville, NC; son, Troy Radtke (Melanie) of Rock Spring, GA; sister Nellie Cunningham of Annapolis, MD, stepsons Ralph Clark (Linda), and Rodney “Rocky” Clark (Becky). She is also survived by her grandson, Nicholas Radtke, and step grandchildren, Noah Clark, Josh Clark, Luke Clark, Micah Clark, Meghan Clark, Marissa Clark, Zachary “Zach” Clark, Ezekiel “Zeke” Clark. Jeremy Ison, and Derricka Chitwood (Daniel). She is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces, including Debra Pitcox Robinson, who always said Cora was like her second mother.
A Celebration of Life Service (weather permitting) will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, January 8, 2023, in the Townson-Smith Chapel. The Reverends Ralph Clark and Daniel Stewart will officiate. If inclement weather occurs services will be held at the Townson-Smith Chapel.
