David James Hicks

David James Hicks, 70 of Robbinsville, NC peacefully went home to be with the Lord at his residence Friday, March 22, 2024. 

     He was a native of Andrews, NC. He was the son of the late Royal Aston Hicks, and Sue Hicks Queen. 

     He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Violet and two sons, Patrick Wayne Hicks and David Aston Hicks of Robbinsville, NC. He is also survived by his mother, and sisters, Brenda (Don) Jackson, all of the Peachtree community, and Susie Hicks of Clarksville, TN. He had four sisters-in-law's that loved him dearly. 

     His grandchildren Josie Violet Hicks, Patrick Dean Hicks, and Braxton Cole Hicks will miss their Dada very much. He had several nieces and nephews who shared memorable moments with him. 

     He was a devoted husband, father and Dada. David will be remembered by his family and friends, for his love of the outdoors, horses and mules. He always looked forward to riding the Western NC wagon train. He also enjoyed spending time in his greenhouse and garden. But his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. 

    No services are planned at this time.
