Deborah Ellen Sheffey Cable, 66 of Robbinsville, N.C., passed away peacefully Sunday, January 30th, at 10pm at Mission Hospital after a very short illness with B-Cell Lymphoma caused by a prescribed medication for Rheumatoid Arthritis.
Debbie was born March 26, 1955, in Murphy, N.C. She is the daughter of Ethel Beryl Hensley Sheffey and the late George Kent Sheffey.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 48 years, Dwayne Paul Cable of Robbinsville, N.C., son J. Brett Cable of Morehead, KY, son Austin B. Cable of Marble, NC, daughter Chandra A. Cable of Robbinsville, N.C. and daughter Alaina A. Cable of Waynesville, N.C. Additionally, she is survived by sister Pamela Sheffey & husband Travis Eller of Robbinsville, N.C. and brother Kevin B. Sheffey of Robbinsville, N.C. along with several nieces and nephews as well as one 3-month-old grandson, Lucas Dean Cable (son of Austin Cable & Jerri-Ann Sullivan).
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother L. Kent Sheffey of Robbinsville, NC.
Though retired since 2016, Debbie was a Dental Assistant for Patrick Kelley Dental Practice here in Robbinsville, N.C. for 10 years. Additionally, Debbie was an excellent singer hosting in international karaoke singing group for over 10 years. She enjoyed family excursions, gardening, international cruises and caring for her many rescued dogs, cats, and birds.
No Services are planned. Debbie was a member of the Andrews Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Flowers can be sent to the family at 1366 Old Sweetwater Road, Robbinsville, N.C.
