Dennis “Mitch” Phillips, of Robbinsville, NC went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Sunday, March 16, 2025.
He was a native of Graham County and the son of the late Emmet and Laura Mae Phillips. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Butch Collins.
He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Phyllis; daughters, Kayla Adams and KaSondra Lovelace, sons-in-law who were like sons to him, Robert Adams and Jarod Lovelace; Grandchildren, Kolbi, Haylen, Jensen, Mkinzey, Robert Lee and Ashley; Sisters, Amy Collins, DeeDee (Jerry) Phillips; brother, Kenny Phillips; and many nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.
Mitch was the epitome of a godly man. He loved his family more than anything in the world and loved his home on the head of Franks Creek, where he raised his family. He loved to deer hunt and spend time outdoors.
Mitch was a just and honest man who never said a bad word about anyone. He was always thankful for the blessings God had given him and made sure to give God the honor and glory for them. He will be greatly missed here on this earth but he sure is making Heaven sweeter.
