Dessie (Aldridge) Holder

Dessie Aldridge Holder, age 94 of Robbinsville, NC went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at her residence.

          She was a native of Graham County and the daughter of the late Tolvin and Clara Cable Aldridge.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Judy Holder McMillian in 1987, her grandson, John Williams in 1997, and her husband, Ed Holder in 2000.

          Dessie was a lady of great faith and was devoted to her family and friends.  She was also a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

          She is survived by her son, Danny Holder of Robbinsville, NC; daughters, Linda Williams and Lisa Phillips both of Robbinsville, NC; sisters, Lois Eller of Robbinsville, NC, Icie Banks of Burnsville, NC, Ida Brooks and Helen Dobbins both of Marion, NC.  She is also survived by 3 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.

          Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, March 8, 2019 at New Hope Baptist Church.  The Reverends Coy Adams and Patrick Odell will officiate.  Burial will follow the service at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.

          The family will receive friends from 5:00 till 7:00 pm Thursday, March 7, 2019 at the Townson-Smith Chapel.
