Donald Harvey Cable

Donald Harvey Cable, 66 of Robbinsville, NC passed away, Wednesday, April 28, 2021 after a courageous battle with lung cancer.

          He was a native of Graham County and the son of the late Hobert and Genevieve Jenkins Cable.

          Donald was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.  He will always be remembered for his humor and generosity.

          He will be missed by his loving and devoted wife of 45 years, Patty Birchfield Cable; his one and only daughter and son-in-law, Crystal and Gabe Hooper of Robbinsville, NC, his 4 grandchildren that he was so proud of, Gabby, Delaney, Loxston, and Lleyton Hooper.  He is also survived by his sisters and brother-in-law, Glenda and Eldon Alexander of Robbinsville, NC, Louise and Bob Gauthier of Cape Corral, FL, Karen and Boyce Oliver of Sherrill’s Ford, NC, Kathy Cable of Raleigh, NC, Patricia Cable of Morganton, NC; brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and DeAnn Cable of Durham, NC, 2 nieces and 4 nephews.

          Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 pm Saturday, May 1, 2021 at the Townson-Smith Chapel.  The Reverend Larry Grindstaff will officiate.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Cliff Hall, Dale Cable, David Cothran, David Prince, David Thomas, Gabe Hooper, Jordy Sellers, and Philip Cothran.

          The family will receive friends from 5:00 till 7:00 pm at the Townson-Smith chapel prior to the service.

          Due to the risk of exposure to COVID-19 face coverings and social distancing are required for those attending the service.
