Douglas McArthur Day

Douglas McArthur Day, 76, of Robbinsville went home to be with the Lord
Monday, August 2, 2021. A native of Swain County, he was the son of the late
William and Ora Mae Morgan Day. In addition to his parents, he was also
preceded in death by his wife, Shelby Jean Mason Day, and by several brothers
and sisters.
He is survived by his sons, Tony Day of Hudson, NC, and Brad (Martha) Day of
Robbinsville, NC; eight grandchildren; several great grandchildren, brother, Don
Day of Grover; sister, Grace Gregory of Nantahala; and several nieces and
nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 6 pm on Friday, August 6, 2021 at Midway
Baptist Church in Robbinsville. Rev. Jim Postell will officiate. A private graveside
service will be held at a later date.
