Earl Kenneth Brown, 86, of the Stecoah Community near Robbinsville, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 9, 2020 at his residence.
A native of Tamms, IL, he was the son of the late Roy Everett and Opal Collier Brown. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Frances Gunther and Barbara Stonecipher.
Mr. Brown was a veteran of the US Navy, having served his country proudly during the Korean War.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Olean Cody Brown; his daughters and sons in law, Earlene Rhodes (Allen) of Boliva, NC, and Karen Brown Robb (Greg) of Weddington, NC; his son and daughter in law, William Brown (Patricia) of Morrisville, NC; his sisters, Rebecca Brown and Elizabeth Carrigan, both of Michigan; and his dear niece, Sandra Cunningham of Oakdale, CA. He has four grandsons, Justin Robb (Jessica), Kyle Robb (Morgan), Kenneth Brown, and Travis Brown. He has one great granddaughter, Savannah Robb.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at Greene Family Cemetery where a Flag Presentation will be conducted by the NC National Guard Honor Guard. Reverend Mike Teem will officiate.
Due to Executive Order 147 and the risk of exposure to COVID 19, face coverings are required in public spaces for anyone over age 11. We respectfully request those attending the graveside service wear face coverings and practice social distancing.
