Frank D. Satterfield

         Graveside services for Franklin D. Satterfield, age 85, will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at the Lower Yellow Creek Cemetery.  Reverend Randy Day will officiate with Reverend Max Turpin serving as honorary minister.

          Frank died peacefully February 24, 2018 at his home surrounded by family.  He was a member of Lone Oak Baptist Church.

He was born in Blairsville, GA, the son of the late Annie Jordan Collins, Willard Satterfield, and his step father, Brodus Collins.  He was preceded in death by his sisters, Eunice Sellers, Geneva Moore and Mary Sue Orr.  He is survived by his sisters Phyllis Jean Fisher, Mary Von Bargen, and his brother, Marvin Satterfield.

          He leaves behind his loving wife of 65 years, Edna Farr Satterfield; his four children, Jo Ann Satterfield of Andrews, NC, Jane S. Jenkins and her husband, Ron Jenkins of Leesburg, VA, Tim Satterfield and his wife, Marilyn Satterfield of Williamsport, PA, and John Satterfield of Atlanta, GA.  He was blessed with his grandchildren, Starla Adams Day and her husband, Randy Day, Eric Yates and his wife Julie Yates, Travis Yates and his wife Che’ke Yates, Jessica Davis and her husband Stuart Davis, Dusty Satterfield and his wife Janice Satterfield, Tyler Satterfield; his step grandchildren, Michelle March, Jason Praster, Steven Jenkins, and Erin Jenkins.  He has 17 wonderful great grandchildren and his honorary family members Bobby Adams, Michael Bosch, Mark Morgan, and Tim Grainger.
