Frankie Bailey Obituary

Frankie Bailey, 82, of the Stecoah Community, had a change of address on July 26, 2021. She no longer resides at 237 Dry Creek Road but is now residing in her New Mansion on the Streets of Gold By the Banks of the River Jordan.

She was preceded in death by her Husband of 62 years Roy Bailey; parents, Cleborn and Myrtle Postell Farr; brothers Guy Farr and Harold Campbell; and sister Betty-Jean Frazier.

Frankie is survived by her children Kim Newman (Kurtis) of Almond, NC, and Bill Bailey (Melinda) of Robbinsville, NC; her loving and devoted sister, Mary Jo Reader, who was her caregiver for many years; her grandchildren, Josh and John Bailey, Karla Currie, Katie Gomez, Kyle and Chris Norcross, Terry Smith, Brooke Bailey, Randy Curie, Josh Gomez, Christy Norcross, and Hannah Norcross; and her great-grandchildren, Kiley, Lyla, Tucker, Faith, Lilly, Lela, and Wesley Roy.

Frankie’s house was always open for anyone who needed a hot meal a shoulder or a place to rest.  She offered all who entered a loving home and a place of understanding when needed.  She was truly a mother to anyone who needed it.

A member of the Stecoah Baptist Church, Frankie became a child of God in 1955 at Bear Creek as Preacher Hoyle Bridges was providing the message.  Frankie has followed the Lord and his teachings since that time and has influenced her family and those around her greatly through her life due to her strong Faith.

For her Grandchildren, she was more than a grandmother She was a Mamaw and as a Mamaw she cared and loved each of us unconditionally.  She loved to Garden and Cook and is known in the community for her Chocolate Gravy and Biscuits.  A morning at Frankie’s was not complete without it.

A homemaker for many years she supported her Family and her Husband especially.  Making sure that they always had what they needed before thinking of herself and ensuring that they were always taken care of.

Never one to back away from a moment of laughter or fun she enjoyed visits with family and friends and created lasting memories for everyone who met her.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm Saturday, July 31, 2021, at Stecoah Baptist Church.  Reverends Daniel Stewart and Mike Teem will officiate.  Burial will follow at Jenkins Cemtery.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm Saturday at the Church prior to the service.
