Gar Arthur Jordan

 Gar Arthur Jordan, 98, of Andrews, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2024, at his residence.

          He was a native of Graham County and the son of the late Mack and Vennie Woody Jordan.

          In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Bray Jordan; son Ronnie Jordan; and brothers Bob and James “Squeak” Jordan.

          He is survived by his daughters Anita Jones of Andrews, NC and Rita Yon of Bryson City, NC; sisters Edna Mae Farr of Robbinsville, NC, June Webb of Indiana, Polly Stover of Andrews, NC, Susan Stewart and Debbie Stewart, both of Robbinsville, NC, brothers, Darrell Jordan of Peachtree, NC and Terry Jordan of Robbinsville, NC; 3 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. 

          Funeral services will be held Wednesday February 7, 2024, in the Townson-Smith Chapel.  The Reverend Patrick O’Dell will officiate.  The family will receive friends from 12-1 pm prior to the service.   Burial will follow in the Red Marble Cemetery where Military Rites and Flag Presentation will be conducted by the NC National Guard Honor Guard.
