Glenda (Meyers) Millsaps

Glenda Meyers Millsaps, 63, of Robbinsville, NC went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 17, 2021 at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. 

She was the daughter of the late Joseph Leroy and Peggy June Pennington Meyers.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Leroy Meyers, Jr. 

Even though she fought an extended illness for many years, she never lost her positive attitude or her smile.  She had a kind heart that was evident to all who knew her.  She remembered the birth of her daughters and her acceptance of Christ as her fondest memories.  Glenda was a member of Cedar Cliff Baptist Church. 

Glenda is survived by her daughters and sons in law, Tracy and Chris Mullinax of Robbinsville, NC, and Cindy and Tommy Bryson of Sylva, NC; and her sister, Sandra Steffy of Galax, VA.  Her grandchildren are Cloe, Abby, and Ryan Cook, and Audra Mullinax.  She has one great grandchild, Avery Mullinax. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, May 20, 2021 at the Townson-Smith Chapel.  Reverend Daniel Stewart will officiate.  Burial will follow at Old Mother Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 pm Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at the Townson-Smith Chapel. 

Due to the risk of exposure to COVID 19, it is requested that those in attendance wear face coverings and practice social distancing.
