Hester (Jenkins) Hedrick

Hester Hedrick, 88 of the Snowbird community of Robbinsville, NC passed away, Wednesday, January 8, 2025.

          She was a native of Graham County and the daughter of the late Paul and Lillian Higdon Jenkins.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ted Hedrick in October of 2021, son-in-law, Ronnie Jaynes, brother, Lonnie Jenkins, and sister, Bonnie Lou Nesbitt.

          She is survived by her son, Eric Hedrick (Wanda) of Lakeland, FL; daughters, Cindy Standridge (Jr.) of Lenoir City, TN, Edith Jaynes of Canton, GA, Denise Burke (Grant) of Robbinsville, NC; grandchildren, Rachel Roberts, Tommy Roberts, Brooke Ford, Shellie Vaughn, Erika Stull, Jake Hedrick, Lance Burke, Lacey Andrews; 19 great grandchildren; brothers, Clarence Jenkins, Aaron Jenkins, David Jenkins; sister, Dollie Bennison; and sisters-in-law, Roma Atwell, Marva Dean Hedrick, and Sue Hedrick.

          Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at the Townson-Smith Chapel.  Reverend Grant Burke will officiate.  Burial will follow the service at the Carver Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 till 2:00 pm Wednesday at the Chapel prior to the service.
