Iva Lee (Beasley) Turpin

Iva Lee Beasley Turpin, 86, of the Bee Cove Community of Fontana Dam, NC, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday morning, August 22, 2021, at Mountain View Manor Nursing Center in Bryson City, NC.

She was a native of Graham County and the daughter of the late Joseph Beasley and wife, Florence Gunter Beasley.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Turpin, and grandson, Dusty Orr; brothers, Hudson Beasley and wife Pearline, Raymond Beasley and wife, Maggie, and Jimmy Beasley; sisters, Ollie Beasley, Betty Lou Beasley, and Thelma Morrow and husband, Henry.

She is survived by her son, Randall Turpin of Longs, SC; daughter, Judy Orr and husband, Kent, of Robbinsville, NC, and Marilyn Williams and husband, Hank, of Maryville, TN; brother, Gifford Beasley and wife, Sheila, of the Tuskeegee Community, NC; sisters, Margie Anderson of Fontana Dam, NC, Eva Nell Turpin and husband, Beecher, of Fontana Dam, NC, and Katherine Crane and husband, Ronald of Fontana Dam, NC; grandsons, Brian, Bradley, and Brent Turpin, Jordan and Matt Orr, Jason, Luke and Josh Williams; granddaughter, Ashley Van Beers; great grandchildren, Houston, Haven, Kendrix, Kaitlyn, and Cameron.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, August 27, 2021, at Welch Cove Baptist Church.  The Reverends Ronnie Inman, Ricky Boring and Onley Williams will officiate.  Burial will follow the service at the Welch Cove Cemetery in Fontana Village.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 till 1:00 pm at the church prior to the service.
