Jackie Darrell Williams, 82 of the Yellow Creek community of Robbinsville NC, went home to be with the Lord Thursday August 19, 2021, at Mission Hospital in Asheville NC.
He was a native of Graham County and the Son of Dave and Hettie Anderson Williams. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years and mother of his children Mildred Williams, his daughter Patricia Johnson, his grandson Hunter Mitchell Williams; and brothers, Daniel Braswell, Doug Williams, Shirey “Mike” Braswell.
Jackie was a member of Yellow Creek Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and Sunday School teacher. Jackie loved the Lord and his family. He showed a fierce devotion to those he loved, and He never failed to tell his children and grandchildren about the love of God, and he prayed for them faithfully.
He is Survived by his wife of 7 years Frances Adams Parker Williams; Sons, Ricky Williams (Gale), Danny Williams (Carol), Rusty Williams (Donna), Terry Williams (Karen) all of Robbinsville. Son-in-Law, Harold Johnson of Robbinsville, NC; Stepchildren, Teena Parker Lee, and Tim Parker; Brother, David Braswell (Betty) of North Wilkesboro, NC, and Sister, Helen Jenkins of Clinton TN. Jackie Has 7 Grandchildren, 13 Great-Grandchildren, and 3 Great Great-Grandchildren, that were all the apple of his eye.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm Sunday August 22, 2021, at Lower Yellow Creek Cemetery. Reverends, Onley Williams, Mickey Stewart, and Lance Burke will officiate. Eulogy will be given by Tim Jenkins.
Due to the risk of Covid-19 facial coverings are required for those attending the services.
