James Lloyd Hedrick, 82 of Robbinsville, NC passed away, Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at Murphy Medical Center.
He was a native of Graham County and the son of the late Jasper and Mary Stewart Hedrick.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Mitch Hedrick; brothers, Ted Hedrick, Lennox Hedrick, and Diamond Hedrick; brothers-in-law Judd Hyde, Earl Watts and Hugh Atwell; sisters, Minnie Jo Watts and Novella Hyde; and his sister-in-law Shirley Hedrick.
He is survived by his loving wife Marva Dean Nichols Hedrick for 56 wonderful years; son, Scott Hedrick (Lisa) and daughter-in-law Grace Hedrick; brother Ronnie Hedrick (Terry); sister Roma Atwell; sisters-in-law Hester Hedrick and Sue Hedrick; grandchildren, Johnathon Crandell (Jessica) of Cummings, GA, Brandon Hedrick (Chasity) of Corbin KY, Devin Fultz (Kaylin) of Hampstead, NC, Austin Hedrick (Nikita) of Robbinsville, NC, Lee Galloway (Megan) of Robbinsville, NC, Nell Waldroup (Katie) of Robbinsville, NC, Drew Silvers (Kayla) of Andrews, NC and 17 great-grandchildren.
Lloyd was a long-time member of Cedar Cliff Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the US Army serving as a Sergeant of the Artillery Division. He retired from the US Forest Service, Cheoah Ranger District.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, December 9, 2024, at Cedar Cliff Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 2:00 pm prior to the service. The Reverends Daniel Stewart and Mickey Stewart will officiate. Burial will follow at Carver Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Johnathon Crandell, Brandon Hedrick, Austin Hedrick, Drew Silvers, Lee Galloway, Neil Waldroup and Devin Fultz. Honorary pallbearers; Jason Nichols, Paul Nichols, Aaron Nichols and Kevin Waldroup.
