Jay A. Stewart

Jay A. Stewart, 81 of the East Fort Hill Community of Robbinsville, NC went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Friday, June 20, 2025, at his residence.

          He was a native of Graham County and the son of the late Ralph and Maggie Lee Hyde Stewart.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Maurice Stewart; sisters, Roma Hipp, Carol Crisp, and Claudia Coulter.

          He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Alice Conley Stewart; son, Andrew Stewart (Andrea) of Marble, NC; daughter, Angie Keever of Robbinsville, NC; grandchildren, Tiffany Conrad (Brad) of Sylva, NC, Courtney Anderson (Brandon) of Robbinsville, NC, Tori Heatherly (Brad) of Waynesville, NC; and great grandchildren, Parklyn, Drexler, Creedence, Lyric, Riddick, and Bentley; and sisters, Nellie Jack Newsome and Tammy Buchanan both of Robbinsville, NC. 

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 pm Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at the Townson-Smith Chapel.  Reverends Daniel Stewart, Patrick O’Dell, and David Anderson will officiate.  Burial will follow the service at Carver Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 am till 12:00 pm at the Chapel prior to the service.
