Joyce Pangle Brooks

Joyce Pangle Brooks, 77 of Robbinsville, NC passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at Mission Hospital, in Asheville, NC.

          Joyce is preceded in death by her father, J. C. Pangle, and her loving husband, Paul Brooks.

          Paul married Joyce in 1971, together they enjoyed 52 years of marriage. She is survived by her mother, Ann Hooper, sister, Jan Brooks, daughter, Sherrie (Todd) Brooks Orr, and her grandson, Ethan Sadler.

          Joyce retired from Graham County Schools after 30+ years of teaching. She had a special place in her heart for all her schoolchildren. After retiring, she enjoyed watching game shows and cooking shows, and spending time with her family. Up until her illness, Joyce was a long time member of Long Creek Baptist Church.

          Funeral Service will be Saturday, 1:00pm December 13, 2025 at the Townson Smith Funeral Home chapel. The Reverend Eddie Brooms will officiate. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at the Old Mother Cemetery.
