Kathy (Jenkins) Carver

Kathy Jenkins Carver, 74 of the Snowbird Gap Community of Robbinsville, NC passed away Friday, December 29, 2023, at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC.

          She was a native of Graham County and the daughter of the late Ralph and Mildred Carver Jenkins.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Andy Carver in November of 2009, daughter, Kristy Carver in June of 2021; sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Max Crisp; mother-in-law, Roxie Carver; and sisters in law, Betty Long and Wilma Aiken.

          Kathy was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and worked with several local area businesses through out her life.  She kept books for Phillips & Jordan, Haw Knob, Inc., C & J Auto Parts, and later became a local rural mail carrier.  She also had hobbies of fishing, yardwork and working in her flower gardens.  She was an animal lover and loved all her dogs.

          She is survived by her husband, Bobby Carver; sister and brother-in-law, Lynda and John McClincy; brother Larry “Tad” Jenkins all of Robbinsville, NC; granddaughters, Hannah Carver of England, Hallee Carver of Robbinsville, NC; Nephews, John Crisp (Nina), Jesse Crisp (Kynda), Larry Jenkins, Kyle Jenkins; 7 great nephews and nieces, and 1 great great nephew.

          Graveside Services will be held at 2:30 PM Sunday, January 7, 2024, at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.  The Reverend Loy Kennedy will officiate.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 till 2:00 pm Sunday at the Townson-Smith Chapel prior to the Graveside.
